blessing day

Cy was blessed last week, Mike did an awesome job! I even CRIED, that is HUGE! We were blessed to have ALL of Mike's family in town for the weekend along with my bro and parents. Cy was surrounded by his Papa Tom, uncles and close friends in the circle, man is he loved! I am so thankful for the priesthood and for Mike's blessing to our little guy, he is lucky to have such a great dad. (don't let the picture fool you, altough it may look like a dress it actually is not. It's a blanket. We realized later it looked like a dress, I think that is why he started crying everytime we put it on-haha).

2 months

Today is our Cy guys 2 Month Birthday (!) along with that came his 2 month check up with some shots on the side. He is weighing in at 11lbs 12oz and is 22.5 inches long. He is in the 50th percentile. Good place to be I guess, right in the middle. He loves his binkie, music, balancing on this dads hand, hanging out on his changing table and sitting in the bouncer in the bathroom while I shower(strange I know but he does love it).We just love having him around and are looking forward for him to meet everyone in California next week!

update-5 WEEKS

the big and little man are sick. the past few days have been rough to say the least. the little man just wants to be held and the big man just wants to sleep...between stuffy noses, sneezes, coughs and red swollen eyes my sleep has been slim to none.oh lets add a few inches of SNOW and freezing tempatures to this equation; nevertheless being a mother has been awesome! he cracked 2 smiles (non-gas induced)for me yesterday which have made these past couple days worth it!

Cy Thomas Muraski-10/6/2010

Our baby boy came early by 12 days, which was totally unexpected! In fact, when my contractions started on Tuesday night I told Mike that I had one too many bowls of cereal and probably should lay off the dairy, haha! Little did I know...so from 2:30am on I honeslty thought it was "false labor." I toughed it out until 6AM then called the nurse, they were still 12 to 14 minutes apart so there wasn't much they could do. I decided to go into work late but my body had different plans, once I told my boss I would be late my contractions went to 2 to 4 minutes apart. By 8AM we decided to go to the hospital, once we got there I was dilated to 6cm. After two and a half hours of pushing our little guy finally arrived at 3:31pm! He came in at 7 lbs 13 oz, 19.5 inches. He is adorable and we love having him as part of our family!

16

I forgot to add this image of all 16 settings this beast can provide

Lets Roll!

We made our most important purchase recently… THE STROLLER! I made Mike pose for a picture with it (doesn’t he look happy?). I took this task very seriously, almost as serious as buying a car. After all it is, in a way, a car for baby boy to ride in and as a driver of this car I wanted to make sure it had maneuverability, a hand brake (so I wouldn’t scuff up my shoes), big wheels and an extendable handle for us taller folks. After many many weeks of reading reviews, pushing floor samples and creating/comparing spreadsheets (yes I am that crazy)and discussions w/ experienced moms we decided to buy this Baby Jogger- City Select Edition and this is why:

10.It’s good for tall people (the handle isn't extended in this picture)
9.It has big non deflate able wheels, and front wheels that lock for the dirt and grass
8.It has an attachment for another kid
7.It has 16 settings, yup 16! You can go here to check out all 16
6.The seat faces the “driver” when the babes are little & actually want to look at you then they can turn to face the front once their sick of your face & realize there are cooler things in this world.
5.You can pull out the seat and click the car seat in the frame
4.It turns on a dime
3.It’s easy to collapse
2.It has an attachment for another kid
1.Did I mention it has an attachment for another kid?!!!! Way to plan ahead, I know.

I really really want a BOB jogging stroller too so I am planning on coming home with that one day when the boy is about 6 months and the snow has melted after this winter….Mike just doesn’t know it yet.

If you don’t agree w/ this purchase please do not comment, I will lose sleep wondering if I made the wrong decision…it’s really that bad.

things that start with a Mmmm

I broke down and bought a pair of these...

I really really tried to hold out but the comfort level was slipping by 3:00 at my office; so my bf and mom MADE me try them on AND to my surprise they were actually cute! And oh so COMFY! New milestone in life...HELLO MATERNITY PANTS!

We had a great weekend in San Jo, of course no documentation cuz we forgot our camera, AGAIN! (I promise once the kid comes I will be better). Perfect weather, great company and good shopping makes for a great Memorial Weekend!
